About the Danish Road Traffic Authority

The Danish Road Traffic Authority is located in Ribe. The Agency has approximately 140 employees and consists of 11 teams.

The Agency’s principal tasks are:

• to ensure green, safe transport on the roads
• to develop technical and environmental regulations for vehicles
• regulatory, approval and supervision tasks in both the road and driver’s licence area, the car inspection market and the haulage area (bus, freight and taxi)
• to carry out company inspection of heavy vehicles with a focus on driving and rest time.
