The Danish Road Traffic Authority is located in Ribe. The Agency has approximately 140 employees and consists of 11 teams.
The Agency’s principal tasks are:
- to ensure green, safe transport on the roads
- to develop technical and environmental regulations for vehicles
- regulatory, approval and supervision tasks in both the road and driver’s licence area, the car inspection market and the haulage area (bus, freight and taxi)
- to carry out company inspection of heavy vehicles with a focus on driving and rest time.
